A turning point occurred in 2014 when Malikah's youngest daughter was diagnosed with eczema. Rejecting prescribed steroid cream, Malikah developed her first "eczema butter", which effectively treated her daughter's skin. Witnessing its successful results and doctor approval, Malikah recognized her mix's potential for helping others with eczema.

Shea Bee Naturals officially launched in 2018, but its expansion and online presence materialized in 2020. This transition allowed Malikah to reach a wider audience, selling products at fairs and pop-up shops.
